Beathive
Terms of Service
Last updated 27 August 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses Beathive, whether you are here to find an
event, buy a ticket, post in the feed or sell tickets to your own night. Using the app means you
accept them.
1. Who we are
Beathive is run by David Feliers, sole trader, Orangestraat 55, 2060 Antwerp, Belgium,
enterprise number BE 0642.650.239. Contact:
davidfeliers@tsuruta.io.
2. What Beathive is
Beathive is a platform. Organizers publish their own events and sell their own tickets, and we
provide the app, the checkout and the tools to run the door. When you buy a ticket, your contract
for admission is with the organizer, not with us. We collect the money on their behalf through
Stripe and pass it on. We are not the promoter, the venue or the performer, and we do not decide
whether an event happens.
3. Your account
- You need to be at least 13 to have an account. If your country sets a higher age for
agreeing to online services, that age applies to you.
- One account per person. Keep the email address on it current, since that is how we sign you
in and send your tickets.
- Do not impersonate anyone, and do not use someone else's account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings, under My account.
4. Buying tickets
- The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. We add no booking fee and no service
fee.
- Your tickets appear in the app and in your email, as a QR code. Anyone holding that code can
use it, so treat it like cash and do not post it publicly.
- Tickets are personal. Reselling them, or offering them for more than you paid, is not
allowed.
- The organizer sets a refund deadline per event, shown before you pay. Until that deadline
you can cancel a ticket yourself in the app and get the full amount back to your original
payment method. After it, refunds are up to the organizer.
- If an event is cancelled, every ticket is refunded in full and automatically. If it is moved
or changed, the organizer decides what happens, within the law.
- The organizer sets the conditions at the door, such as a minimum age or what you may bring.
Check the event page before you travel.
- Right of withdrawal. EU consumer law gives you 14 days to change your mind about most
online purchases, but that right does not apply to leisure services supplied on a specific date,
which is what an event ticket is. Your refund rights are the ones above.
5. Hosting events
- Anyone can become an organizer. To sell paid tickets you need a Stripe account, which you
create through the app, and you accept the
Stripe Connected Account
Agreement as part of that.
- You are responsible for your event: that it is legal, that you are allowed to run it, that
what you publish is accurate, and that everyone holding a valid ticket gets in.
- Two things come off a paid ticket: the payment processing charged on it, and then
our 4% of what is left. Nothing else: no subscription, no listing fee, no per-ticket charge to
your buyers. Free events cost nothing. Because processing is a fixed amount per transaction on
top of a percentage, there is no fixed share you keep: it moves with the ticket price and with
the payment method your buyer uses.
- Payouts go to your Stripe account a couple of days after the event has finished, not when a
ticket sells. Holding the money that long is what lets us refund your buyers in full if the
event is cancelled.
- If you cancel an event, all tickets are refunded in full: the 4% we took comes back with
them and the processing cost is on us, so you end up where you started. If a refund is owed and
there is not enough left in your balance, you owe us the difference.
- Taxes, VAT, licences, insurance and any other legal duty around your event are yours.
- Attendee data you receive through Beathive, including names and email addresses, may only be
used to run that event. Do not add it to a mailing list or sell it.
6. Content and behaviour
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to store, display and distribute it
inside Beathive so the app can work, and that permission ends when you delete it.
Do not post anything that is illegal, hateful, harassing, violent, sexual, or that belongs to
someone else. Do not spam, scrape, or try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service.
You can report any post, reply or event from the item itself. Reports are anonymous. You can
also block someone from their profile, which hides their posts and replies from you and yours from
them, and stops them reaching your notifications. Blocking is yours alone to undo, in Settings.
We can remove content, cancel events and suspend or ban accounts when these terms are broken,
and we will say why unless the law stops us.
7. Availability
We do our best to keep Beathive running, but we do not promise it will always be available or
bug free. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue something that you paid for, we
will make it right.
8. Our liability
We are liable for damage we cause by our own fault, as Belgian law requires. We are not liable
for the events themselves: what happens at an event, whether it is any good, whether it happens at
all, or what an organizer or another user does. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have
as a consumer.
9. Ending it
You can stop using Beathive and delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or close
an account that breaks these terms, or that puts us or other people at risk. Tickets you already
hold stay valid, and money already owed to you is still paid out.
10. Law and disputes
Belgian law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country
you live in, and you can bring a case before the courts there. You can also use the European
Commission's online dispute resolution platform. Talk to us first, most things are quicker to fix
by email.
11. Changes
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app before the
change takes effect. Carrying on using Beathive after that means you accept the new version.
